It is indeed an honor for me to write this message because it will not only be read by the present teachers and students, but also by anyone who visits our website. The website highlights the achievements and activities of the institute in different spheres.
It gives me immense pleasure to acknowledge the website of the Biju Pattaniak Film & Television Institute of Orissa. This is yet another dimension added to the crest of the Institute.
Funded by Government of Orissa through SD&TE Department & Directorate of Technical Education, the institute offers diploma courses in 3 disciplines such as Cinematography, Sound & Tv. Engineering and Film & Video Editing.

Mr. Chandra Sekhar Rath son of Mr.Binayak Rath &Mrs. Rajalaxmi Rath belongs to a middle class family from Bhubaneswar.He has own Production House in the name of Rajlaxmi Productions at Mumbai. He has an annual income of Rs. 15 – 20 lakhs.
Debesh Mohanty
Brought up in a middle class family of Millenium City Cuttack, Debesh completed his Diploma in Film & Video Editing from Kaptipada College, Cuttack in 2003.Now, he is working as Principal Video Editor at CNN News 18, Mumbaiand has an income of Rs. 10 lakhs P.A
Rajesh Das
Rajesh completed his Diploma in Film & Video Editing from Kaptipada College, Cuttack in 2005.At present; he is working as Freelance Film Editor in Odia Film Industry and completed 15 films. Today he has an annual income of almost Rs.6 – 7 lakhs.
Rashmi Ranjan Dash
,Rashmi Ranjan completed his Diploma in Sound & TV Engineering from Kaptipada College,Cuttack in 2003.Today he is working as a film surround sound-mixing Engineer-cum- music recordist for films and music videos.Today his annual income is around 8-10 lakhs.
Sameer
Sameer, brought put from a middle class family in Bhanjanagar, Ganjam. Today he is working as a freelance Audiographer & Sound Designer at Mumbai Film Industry.Today his annual income is not less than Rs. 8 – 10 lakhs.
Shibu Prusty
Shibu Prusty, the son of Arakhita Prusty & Santilata Prusty belongs to a lower middle class teacher family.He has an annual income of Rs.5 – 8 lakhs. He recognises Kaptipada College and its value where he learnt film – making as a passion.
